In this project you will be responsible for completing  a camera orientation of the camera you will be using to take pictures. It is important for you to understand the basic functions and features that your camera has. Below is a camera orientation link that will take you through this process.

Step 1
Watch the videos below (click on the Link below) on how a basic digital camera works. Explain in your own words how a digital camera works and how it is different than a 35 mm film load camera.

The basic 35 mm DLSR camera
Before we take a shot with our camera, it's best if we know  our gear first. Every type of camera has their own buttons and functions. Here is the basic break down of the camera.
  1. Body
What is Body anyway ? Body is a part of camera which handle the image process. Vintage Camera, such us SLR, TLR, or Viewfinder the body is consist of Negative Film. But now at DSLR, Pocket Camera, Digital  Medium Format, the body is consists of Image Sensor which will capture the object and record it as images and save it in digital format.
  2. Lens
Lens is an optical device which will capture the object and deliver it into the body of the camera. On some cameras the lens cannot removed, but on some it can. Right now there are so many mirror less cameras that build with the capabilities to change the lens.
  3. Diaphragm/Aperture
The diaphragm is a basic knowledge that we must know when taking shoot. Diaphragm is a hole of the lens that will control the intensity of the light that captured by the camera. Smallest hole will make the light intensity become low, and Big hole will make the light intensity become High.

  1. Shutter Speed
Shutter Speed is  how fast the shutter is. The shutter will open and close again into shooting time. Slow speed will make the quantity of the light that goes into the camera become high. While Fast speed will make the light that goes into the camera become small.

Step 2

Step 3
for the third part of this assignment you will need to find a video camera orientation of your camera. Or if your using a school camera either the Nikon D3000 or the D 3400 you can use the orientation provided. http://www.bing.com/videos/search?
This orientation will walk you through the basic functions of your specific camera.

Here is a basic 35 mm SLR digital camera. Very similar to the school cameras you may be using. Different models vary but for the most part they have very similar functions. It will be your responsibility to become familiar with your specific model. If you don't have a manual for it look your specific model up on line and copy and paste your camera model on your post. Locate all the functions below on your specific model and label them (this can be done on word the pasted on to your blog)
